DBP Case Study Awards 2018
This year's DBP awards showcased several quality submissions battling it out for the top spot and the prize of the 'Best overall submission in 2017'.
Early voting saw five standout submissions break away from the pack with the results being decided by the final judge's point allocation.
In 3rd place with 23 points was DBP00264 by Jim Zhou of Lend Lease Project Management
In 2nd Place with 25 points was DBP00258 by Sean Goodwin of F.J Goodwin & Sons.
In 1st Place with 30 points and voted best overall submission was DBP00259 by Chris Sorensen of Overbury.

The award for the best case study 2017 has been made.
13 submissions were eligable for the award, with a panel of 16 members voting for their top 4, giving 5,3,2 and 1 points respectivley.
The submission with the most accumalitive points would be awarded the honour.
Once the votes were in there was a clear first and second place, with a tie for third.
Congratulations to Brian Street of Construction Assured whose case study
"Temporary Cable Management",
came out on top with a total of 29 points.
Second place was awarded to Jason Riddell of Green Contract Services with his submission
"Ductwork Cleaning - An Automated Solution"
which achieved 20 points.
Third place with 16 points, was a tie between Paul Airey of Peers Steelwork for the submission
"Reducing Hand Arm Vibration Exposure in Steelwork Fabrication"
and Ed Mortell of Lovelock Mitchell Architects for the submission
"Hard Standing for Construction Phase"
Congratulations and thanks to all who submitted a case study during 2016, your continued support is essential in spreading the DBP message.

The annual DBP Case Study awards were voted on recently with a total of 14 submissions eligable for the award.
A panel of 16 members voted for their top 4 case studies scoring them 5 points, through 3,2 and 1 point respectively.
Congratulations to Graham Sex of the Austin Company whose case study
"Simple Cleanroom Edge Protection",
came out on top with a total of 43 points.
Robert Naylorstables (Austin Co. - centre) recieves the award from Marc Jones (AZ - RVP Supply EMEA - Left) and Andrew Smith (AZ - Head of Pharmaceutical Projects - Right).
Second place was awarded to Robert Lloyd of Astrazeneca with his submission
"Flexible Porous Paving"
which achieved 30 points.
Dave Ayres (AZ - centre) recieves the award from Marc Jones and Andrew Smith.
Third place went to Jim Zhao of Lend Lease (Shanghai) for the submission
"Emergency Call"
with a well desrved total of 21 points.
Congratulations and thanks to all who submitted a case study during 2015, your continued support is essential in spreading the DBP message.
DBP Service Award - Peers Steelwork
An additional presentation was also made to one of the founder members Peers Steelwork for their continued service to DBP.
DBP Member Brian Steet praised Peers for 'Consistently leading by example and demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to the DBP group throughout 2015'

The annual DBP awards took place recently at Alderley Edge in Cheshire.
There were 19 eligible submissions and votes cast by 20 key DBP members determined the closely fought contest as follows:-
1st Place
Matthew King of Cockram Projects � Steel Equipment Foundations
The award was flown to China and hand delivered to the Cockram Team by Paul Brambley, a key Supporter of the DBP network.
