8. Pollution

Emissions into the air, water and land, or energy in the form of noise, heat and light, all present pollution risks to their immediate surroundings or the environment as a whole.

Designing processes or facilities that avoid or minimisation at source waste or emissions at source deliver a range of benefits including;
